Marrakech Polo Club celebrated the season with charity event on 23rd November 2019

The Marrakech Polo Club has always been active in giving back to society. This season, a fun-packed charity event was hosted on 23rd November 2019.  HMA Thomas Reilly participated in an exhibition match, along with MPC members and friends.  With a show from Le Cheval Libre and amazing tombola prizes from our sponsors, it was an unforgettable event !

The Charity event benefited the Fondouk organisation, which provides people-to-people aid through offering free veterinary care for the hard-working donkeys, mules, and horses of Morocco.  In addition, sponsors supported the MPC Ninos programme, teaching children from local villages how to groom horses, stable management and of course how to play polo.

Money was raised through raffle ticket sales, which provided entry to the event to watch the Chukkers match and the performance by Le Cheval Libre, as well as a chance for participants to win amazing prizes from our sponsors.  Prizes ranged from exclusive hotel stays, a Swiss made watch, to restaurant vouchers, headphones, a yearly polo academy subscription and many more….  Event sponsors included our long-term partners The Ritz-Carlton Residences Marrakech, official team prize sponsor La Martina, luxury watch brand Franck Dubarry, British Author/Painter Kay D’Astorg,  Palais Faraj Fes, Suznet OPC, Team sponsors Consult IT (Paris) and Lexus Maroc.

Artistic Photographer Fionia Mirebeau manned a photo booth with a difference, and with time to enjoy polo lessons and delights from our food trucks, all the family joined in the fun.
